Bookclubs' core organizing tools are free, and creating an account or a club costs nothing. The site is funded a few other ways.
How Bookclubs makes money
- Some clubs choose to charge their own members a subscription fee. Bookclubs takes a small administrative fee from that; most of it goes to the club's leader.
- Clubs can upgrade to a paid Bookclubber plan for extra features, and members can upgrade to a paid Bookworm plan individually.
- Bookclubs partners with publishers and other brands to promote books and content to members. Partner content is always marked "Sponsored," and you can opt out of promotional emails in your email settings.
- Bookclubs has affiliate partnerships with booksellers like Bookshop.org and Libro.fm — when you buy a book through Bookclubs, we receive a small percentage of the sale.
