Every meeting email from Bookclubs comes with a calendar invite, so you can add the meeting to Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar in just a few taps.
How to add a meeting to your calendar
- Open the email you received about the meeting.
- Open the calendar invite attached to it. Many email apps show an "Add to calendar" button, or you can open the attachment.
- Choose to add it to your calendar app.
What happens if the meeting changes?
If your club's admin updates the date, time, or location and sends the update, the new invite updates the same event on your calendar, so you won't end up with duplicates. This works as long as your email and calendar apps support it.
Your calendar and your RSVP stay in sync
When you accept or decline the event in your calendar, your RSVP on Bookclubs updates too. Accepting marks you as Yes, "maybe" marks you as Maybe, and declining marks you as No. If your RSVP ever changes on its own, it's worth checking how the event shows in your calendar.
Which clubs get calendar invites?
Calendar invites are included with Bookclubber Premium, Pro, and Pro Plus clubs. Clubs on the free plan don't get a calendar invite with their meeting emails.
Not seeing a calendar invite?
- Check your club's plan. Invites come with Premium, Pro, and Pro Plus.
- Check how the meeting was shared. The invite goes out when the person who created the meeting chooses "Send a notification and calendar invitation to my club."
- Check your notifications. Make sure club emails are turned on in your Email and Notification Settings.
- Check your spam folder. If Bookclubs emails are landing there, mark them as not spam, or add no-reply@m.bookclubs.com to your contacts.
- If the meeting was scheduled before your club upgraded, ask your admin to open the meeting, select Edit, and then Save without changing anything. That sends the invite.
