Understanding Payment Failures in Your Paid Club

Here’s a detailed overview of what happens when a payment fails.

Automatic Retry Process

When a member's payment fails, our payment processor, Stripe, will automatically attempt to retry the user's card on file. This retry process will occur up to 8 times over a 2-week period.  During this time, the member will continue to enjoy full access to the club, allowing them to participate in activities and engage with other members without interruption. This grace period is designed to give members ample opportunity to resolve any payment issues without losing access to their community.

Subscription Cancellation

If the payment issue is not resolved within the 2-week retry period, the member's subscription will be canceled. While they will still appear on the club member list, their status will be marked with a "payment failed" badge. This badge serves as a clear indication that there is an issue with their payment method, and it helps club administrators easily identify members who may need assistance.

Access Limitations

After the cancellation, if the member tries to access the club, they will still see it listed in their club memberships. However, they will not be able to view any of the club pages or participate in activities until they update their payment information. This ensures that only active members with valid subscriptions can access club content.
